Hello everyone!

I am new to Team Unite, my team is from my brother "Team Love.Energy.Strength, Tyler R."
I wanted to let you all know about my website http://www.surviving4you.com.
My little brother passed away May of 2007. A little over a year after he passed away, I started this website as a place for siblings of kids with cancer to connect with eachother. I remember feeling so alone when my brother was sick, and especially after he passed away. He was my best friend, and not having him by my side anymore was the hardest thing. Hospice gave me lots of options of people to talk to, but I wanted to talk to someone that understood, that could say "I know what you mean" and mean it. So that's why I created the website. I have since made some amazing friends through it, such as the amazing Heide Randall and have hopefully helped many people. My little brothers full story is on there, as well as charties and fundraising we've been doing, and other sibling stories. I hope you'll take a look. :)

This was the first year of trying to raise money for pediatric cancer through my website. From May-August we were able to raise a total of $5000.00! What a dream come true! Our local Safeway did a fundraiser for Surviving 4 You, and then in August, my family and I go back to Memphis where many of our family and friends live, and celebrate Tyler's birthday and use it as a fundraising event. We have a big party at my aunt and uncles house called "Taterfest" (his nickname was Tater) and pick a department of St. Jude Children's Research hospital to donate to! (He had all his treatments at St. Jude even though we live in Washington State. My mom and my little brother moved their for almost a year so he could get his treatments and my father and I stayed here because he owns a business) This year we wanted to fully equip the Rehab department with Nintedo Wii's, televisions, and all the accessories needed! We did it! They told us they'd only need 2 of everything, so we ended up getting two 32'' LCD flat screen t.v.'s, two Nintedo Wii's, two wall mounts, two accessorie packs, two extra remotes and a remote charger pad, two Wii resort games, and an additional assortment of games! It was incredible! And all the money for everything was all donated from incredible people. We also had a "Taterfest" here in Washington at my parents house for the first time, and it was a success as well! At Christmas time, Tyler's favorite charity to give to was "The Forgotten Children's Fund" we donate bikes for less-fortunate children whom their families can't afford to get them bikes. So we will also be doing that this winter.

I hope everyone will take a look at my website, I'm working hard to make a difference in honor of my brother, and raise money to provide children's hospitals with donated money for research and things to make the kids smile!

Any questions or possible ideas for the website, please email me, I would love to hear from you!!
